Mamma Mia
Direct by Ms. Guarino, the world-famous musical performed by Cheshire students(Donna, played by Elena, Sophie, played by Audra, Taynya, played by Jane, Rosie played by Olivia, Sky played by Trevor, and Sam, Harry, and Bill, played by Jackson, Tony, and Nate)-Mamma Mia performed in the black box.
The story started in Greece, Sophie's sisters, Ali and Lisa, came to the island to attend Sophie's wedding. They asked if Sophie had found her father. Sophie told them that she had peeked at her mother's diary and found three objects that might be her father. Now all three of them have agreed to come to their wedding, and they have 24 hours to find out. Who is his father. Donna's sister and finally Donna and Sam fell in love and were together again. Sophie canceled the wedding because she was worried that she would not get a happy marriage.
In the arrangement of the scenes, the scenes in the original drama were restored as much as possible. They painted the background panels as white houses with blue roofs and blue sky in Greece. And on the steps on both sides, they also put a few tables, so that people can more directly feel the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of the Greek island. Of course, lighting is also an indispensable part. In the performance I watched, the lighting was very good. It will enhance the atmosphere during the party, and it can let the audience's realization focus on the protagonist when the protagonist performs.
The most important part of a musical is music. As a world-renowned classic musical, Mama Mia's music can be said that every song is a classic. Among them, ABBA also played a great role, they used a fresh, lively and direct method to personalize the programs that people are familiar with, while still maintaining the integrity of their popular music.
My favorite character is Sophie (played by Audra). In this musical, Audra performed a good innocence, because she had no father since she was a child, so she was extremely insecure but longed for happiness. Audra showed her emotions well and sang them out, for example, when her friend came to the island, she was so happy. But when she quarreled with Sky, she was so upset and worried. Her voice is also very nice and contagious, so it is easy for viewers to like a girl like this.
In general, the musical I watched last Wednesday was perfect, and I was immersed in the charming singing and the superb performance of the actors.
